Mr Wiley has been practicing as a specialist colorectal surgeon in the North East region since 2002.
After finishing his undergraduate medical training at Austin Health, Malcolm trained in Melbourne, Adelaide and the United Kingdom before finishing his post-fellowship training in colorectal surgery in 2001.
